My interest in Photography began around the age of 12 years old when I was given a camera by my cousin Mike. For the last 15 years, I have been perfecting my skills as a street and location photographer, creating imagery in the way my eyes and brain interpret the world around me.

After Highschool, I attended Indiana University studying Photojournalism for three years. I then transfered to University of Southern Indiana changing my major and graduating with a BS in Graphic Design and a marketing minor. I also Interned under the photographer Kent L. Whitehead, also from Evansville who has worked freelance with LA TIMES, NY TIMES, and the WALL STREET JOURNAL.

During my college years, I photographed weddings for extra money, which turned into a full time job after I graduated. I still shoot weddings to this day, but my other passion in life is music, where I play drums for two metal bands called DELIVER US FROM EVIL and SECRETARIAT. With the skill as a professional musician myself, and being familiar with the artists I work with, I can anticipate the movements and stops and starts of an artist to capture the power and emotion incorporated in heavy music.

After getting back into music full-time after college, I have found myself working with some of my most respected musicians of today and from my childhood.

Working mostly with Metal and Hard Rock bands, I have worked directly with the likes of GOJIRA, DÅÅTH, CANNIBAL CORPSE, and BENEATH THE MASSACRE.

I have also gotten the chance to work through the PR companies of other bands to shoot photos of the likes of LAMB OF GOD, DEVILDRIVER, CHIMAIRA, MASTODON, BEHEMOTH, JOB FOR A COWBOY, OPETH, and many others.

Some of the publications that have used my work would include: REVOLVER MAGAZINE, Zero Tolerance magazine, Metal Hammer. and many websites around the globe.

My major personal highlights so far is being published in GOJIRA's Score book for the album "The Way of All Flesh", All the portraits in DÅÅTH's newest record "The Consealers", out on Roadrunner Records, and having shots in the Jackson Guitar BLOODLINE catalog.

I hope you enjoy my work for what it is, and look forward to working with you personally.

~Alex
